Our Goals

Our Goals
Help us create the space for our equine rescues to thrive.
Horses were not meant to be kept in a box, in fact, equines in the wild will travel around 10-20 miles per day!
One of the first projects we are focusing on is to put what is called a “Track System” in place to encourage movement, as well as stimulate their natural foraging tendencies. The system is set up so that they must travel around the track through different terrains to designated food, water, and sheltered areas.
All these things can help to remedy physical ailments, achieve muscle growth and weight loss, promote healthy hoof growth, provide enrichment, and encourage play for a better quality of life.
At current, we are just about at capacity with the facilities we have, but we have a lot of undeveloped land left to utilize! Help us obtain the necessary means to help as many animals as possible!
Our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing home for ANY species of animal in need as long as we can adequately provide for them. In the face of an animal that we are not set up for, we will do our best to expedite creating livable space that will meet their needs. If we can not do so, we will help locate, contact, and facilitate placement somewhere that can. We will offer foster situations for short periods of time in the interim if need be.
As a family operated organization, one goal that is very dear to us at TTR+ is to establish programs for local youth to learn about positive reinforcement and the animal connection that it offers here.
We are proud to be all inclusive, and hope to offer programs to neurodiverse children and their families, LGBTQ+ youth, and more. If this is something you are interested in, or interested in supporting, please don’t hesitate to Contact Us
We hope to expand our audience and share our values by inviting our local community to interactive, engaging fundraisers at our farm.
With a deep focus on welfare and a positive emotional well-being, we believe that to act compassionately toward others and toward animals, you must act compassionately toward yourself first. The world has seen an uprise in mental health issues revolving around depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance abuse.
A long term goal for Treat Them R+ght is to team up with Southern California based mental health treatment centers and substance abuse recovery facilities to collaborate on volunatry out-patient animal care programs. We want for our volunteers to find a since of purpose in caring for and teaching these animals to navigate a world that can otherwise be unkind when it does not understand one's background. When we offer an animal choice, control, and compassion, they thrive. We wish for our animals to offer that to our community as well.
